Boy do I wish I could say things stayed that way.
But my how things have changed. Over the period of a few short months these friends of ours now all live in different cities...Tyler, Austin, and Oklahoma City. Who would have thought?
This transition has caused me and John Paul to look back with so much gratitude on the last 6 years of true, day in and day out, life sharing friendship that we've been blessed to have with these individuals. This gift of friendship has been yet another evidence of God's goodness. We miss them a lot. Seriously...a lot. But I think Tami said it best when she said that the Lord must have known that we needed to be separated in order to keep growing. We needed to be taken out of our comfort zones. I've learned recently that He really likes to do that :) Even though it's hard we know that the Lord will be faithful in this new phase of life just as He was in the last. And thankfully, our friends are all just a drive away. We can't wait for the many happy reunions and visits to come!
