This was a monumental month for you and you are really seeming more like a toddler than a baby these days! This mama is not ready for that but I guess I don't have much of a choice :) How did you get so big so fast?? In just one month we'll be celebrating your 1st birthday! As sad as I am that it's going so fast, I really do love this fun stage and I can barely handle your cuteness!!!
Libs, you are just a JOY to be around! You have the happiest, funniest little personality and your little brain must be working overtime these days because you are learning so much!! It seems like every day it is something new. You are one fearless and determined little bug! Daddy and I laugh because you do not hesitate at all - you think you can do anything and even when you fall, you just get back up and keep on moving. You've had a couple of real boo boos (busted lip & black eye) but for the most part you're pretty unfazed. And Libs, you are always BUSY! You never sit still - if you are awake, you are moving. It's pretty funny to watch you cruise around and see what all you can get into. You also babble a ton...it's so precious and you definitely have your own trademark sounds. Your squeaky little voice is my favorite!
So here's where you stand...
-you're still tiny! Not sure exactly how much you weigh but it must be between 17-18 lb. We go to the doctor on May 30th.
-still in size 2 diapers
-size 6-12 month or 9 month clothes, size 3 shoes
-you go to bed around 8-8:30pm and wake around 7:45-8:00am
-2 naps: morning from 9:30-11:30 and afternoon from 2:30-4:00
-you love all food! There is literally nothing that I've given you that you've spit out. You even had Hallibut in Corpus this past weekend and loved it.
-still at 4 teeth - no new ones this month, yippee
-your hair is getting so long and even has a little bit of a wave at times!
-you said for your first real word - doggie. Not surprised one bit.
-you are not loving your carseat these days, yikes!
-you give your daddy open mouth kisses- we've got to work on that, haha
-you refuse to sleep in your pack n play when we travel - not cool, Libs
You started WALKING this month! And now it's all you want to do. No more crawling - that's for babies :) It's just been a couple of weeks since your first steps and you've already figured out how to stand from the sitting position without holding onto anything. It's pretty insane to watch since you're so teeny!
And now that you're walking, your favorite thing to do is drag something around with you at all times...shoes, your lovie, my purse, a book or toy, etc. You are never empty handed little girl! It's hilarious.
You also found my tupperware drawer! Emptying it out is another one of your favorite activities these days. Really, you enjoy opening all of the kitchen drawers and cabinets so thankfully Grandma got us some locks :)
You have hit somewhat of a clingy phase this month, Libs. You really do not like it if I leave the room without taking you with me and you kind of panic and come after me with the saddest little face. But then sometimes you are completely fine just playing in your own little world and don't care where I am at all. You are also more hesitant to let other people besides me & Daddy hold you. You won't always willingly go to someone else but once you are with with them you seem to adjust ok. Then other times you are just a social butterfly or are totally fine with anyone. So I guess it just depends on your mood :)
Well little girl, Daddy and I could not love you any more! This month has been a blast with you and we just love the little person that God has created you to be. You are the biggest blessing! Happy 11 months! WE LOVE YOU...even if you won't sit still for a photo shoot any more ;)
