Wow! I cannot believe this is my last post before you turn one year old. I'll hold back my sentimental mama talk for now (and save that for next month) so we can focus on the present :)
So this was a fun month! It's officially summer in Texas which means we have been at the pool quite a bit already and you are loving it. You're also loving the frozen yogurt and push pops that go along with the pool...and I don't blame you. Libby is also out of school so y'all are getting lots of extra sister time which includes things like sharing the cart at the the grocery store, morning cuddles, and lunches on the patio. So many sweet times that I'll remember forever. Y'all are just two peas in a pod and it makes my heart burst on a regular (basically daily) basis. Goodness Libby loves you.
You are pulling up to your feet all the time now and love trying to reach for things on tables and chairs! You don't really have any interest in taking steps while we hold your hands and actually just slump down like a wet noodle...but hey, no rush! Some of your favorite items to get your hands on are remotes and phones...naturally. Also, you finally have teeth! Your top two came in first which was strange but then your bottom two made their appearance just about a week later. And you still have some more that are sure to be here soon! The crazy thing about all this teething is (and I hate to even state this for fear of jinxing it) that you never woke up in the middle of the night once! Oh my word, Ellie. Who are you?! Maybe it's because you suck your thumb and can soothe yourself? Regardless, it is remarkable and your daddy and I feel extremely thankful!
You also started playing peekaboo on your own this month! We were having dinner one night out at the Northwood pool with YiaYia and Nicki and all of a sudden you started turning backward and thing swinging your head around to the front really quick like we had been doing! Such a smart girl. And becoming so silly. So obviously we had you do it 20 times after that and got it on video so we can watch it forever. Oh and I absolutely cannot forget that your official first word is "Hi". It is literally the cutest thing I have ever seen or heard. You open your mouth really huge and then this tiny little "hi" comes out.
At 11 months you are...
-size 4 diapers
-size 6-12 month or 12 month clothes
-still sleeping 8:30p-8:30a
-still taking 2, 2 hour naps although you are a such a trooper because we've had so many random activities in the mornings this summer that have thrown off your nap schedule and you just deal with it. Angel baby.
-still drinking 4 bottles and loving every minute of it so I can tell that weaning you off here in the coming months is going to be quite sad for you :(
-getting eat more and more table food now that you've got more teeth! More meats, especially...chicken, turkey, ground beef.
Ellie belly, you are absolute sunshine! Thank you, Lord, for our sweet sister girl!
