Ellie ~ 7 months!

Happy 7 months, Ellie girl!!

Wow. This one really snuck up on me!

It was such a fun month with you, Ellie bug, although it came and went in a flash. You started doing all sorts of new things and are just as smiley as ever! You are so alert and grabbing everything - our hair, our phones, our food, and your sister's toys :) You tried solid foods this month, you swung for the first time, you started playing in your bouncer, started going to the church nursery (you've done great!), you mastered sitting up without falling over and you have even started rocking on all fours! You've also started scooting yourself backward when you're on your tummy - I found this out yesterday when I left you on a blanket with some toys in the living room and came back to find you on the other sides of the room! You were so proud. I didn't know you could do that...so here we go, you are officially mobile :) The great thing is, even though you may be on the move, you still love to snuggle. You are my cuddle bug and it is the best. On a sad note, you also got your first cold this past month but you were even sweet when you were sick and I enjoyed the extra snuggles! Ever since then you have been a little more clingy and have had a few days where you just wanted me to hold you for the most part. That makes it hard to get much done but you're so darn cute and I know you won't want me this much for long! A few things you are not a fan of at this point are being buckled in your carseat and having something taken away from you. That's a pretty short list, sweet girl. Daddy and I love you so much and we literally cannot get over what a sweet baby you are. And your sister, well she just adores you and you adore her. It is the absolute sweetest gift from God to watch you two together. You are loved by us and so many others, Ellie girl! Now stop growing up so fast :)

Here's what you've been up to:
-size 3 diapers
-can still fit in some 3-6 month clothes, but wearing some 6 and 9 month stuff too
-nurses at 8:30am, 12:30pm, 4:30pm, 8:30pm (roughly)
-started having solids at dinner with us! You love sweet potatoes, squash, carrots, bananas, apples, pears...pretty much everything besides green beans. We're adding in "breakfast" this week too!
-sleeps 8:30pm-8:30am
-takes 2-3 naps a day. If we are home and you get a good morning nap (10am-noonish) and a good afternoon nap (2:30-4:30) then you're good to go with 2. But the days that we are out and about you sometimes take a few cat naps in place of one of your long naps. You are a champ! You pretty much go with whatever. You even nap in the quiet room at church during service and while I'm in bible study, which is amazing.
-no teeth yet! But chewing on anything you can find.

Those eyes.
Could you be any cuter?! I think not!

First time in the swing at our neighbors, the Durst's, house!
Getting snuggles from daddy after he returned from Japan!
That face.
Hey mom, I ate sweet potatoes!
You're not moving fast enough, mom!
Feeling like a big girl in the high chair...but looking rather tiny :)
Hi.
You love this chair!
Hanging out in the bouncy seat! You're a fan.
Your sister wanted a tent. And she wanted her Ellie-belly to join her :)
Peek-a-boo. Bath time.
Sister love.
So incredibly blessed to be y'alls mommy!!
Deep thoughts.
Sweet little sick face :(
Sick snuggles.
Must document your love for your thumb.
Looking super cozy.
And just to show, no one can be happy ALL the time :)
You ate your 7 month sticker in about 2 seconds :)

Happy 7 months, Ellie belly!! Goodness gracious, WE LOVE YOU!
You are a tangible expression of God's goodness. Daddy and I are so grateful for you & your sister and the family He has given us. We are blessed beyond words.
