Libby: 3 months old!

Libby,

Happy 3 month birthday! Wow, this past month flew by! How are you already 3 months old?!

You are...

-wearing size 1 diapers

-wearing 3 month clothes (although you can still fit into some of your newborn outfits)

-eating 4 oz. of milk at each feeding now and I think you're in the middle of a growth spurt...so that may increase again soon!

-going down at night around 9pm

-still doing a dream feed before mommy goes to sleep

-sleeping for a 7-8 hour stretch again now that I increased your milk during the day

You also had some firsts this past month...

-you went to the church nursery for the first time yesterday and they said you were a doll

-rode on an airplane to Carmel like a champ

-went to the beach

-started going to YiaYia Christie's house twice a week and staying with Sandra once a week while mommy is at work

-got your first set of shots at the doctor

-started going to play group

Daddy and I can't stop talking about how much fun you are these days. Your personality is really starting to show more and more and you are so interactive! You are so alert and responsive to whoever is playing with you. You really like holding onto things like your blanket, people's clothes when they are holding you, your own clothes, the hanging toys on your carseat, etc. And you've even grabbed your paci a few times but got sad when you couldn't get it to your mouth.

You continue to be so expressive and your faces are hilarious! We love just watching you to see what you're going to do.

So you found your hands this past month! I literally caught you staring at them one day and since then you have been obsessed with them. I actually got a picture of you admiring them down below! One of your favorite activities each day is to try and get your entire fist into your mouth which is pretty funny to watch. You've also started to drool quite a bit!

Your smiles are the best! They make my day! Daddy makes you smile more than anyone else but I try not to take it personally :) He is pretty funny.

You love your changing table, Libs! You seriously become so happy as soon as we put you on there. You starting cooing and talking and smiling. You have your best chats with mommy and daddy on there. It's so fun! 

Well sweet girl, you officially figured out how to escape from the Halo sleep sack swaddle this past week! I walked in a few mornings ago and found your little hands like this (see below). It cracked me up. We have since switched to the Miracle Blanket and although mommy had to watch a "how to" video on Youtube in order to figure it out, we are now good to go! You just sleep so much better when you're swaddled all night. And man, do I love unswaddling you in the mornings...it is so fun to watch you stretch and wake up. You are so happy!

So here you are at 3 months old! What a sweet, funny, happy girl you are! Daddy and I are so thankful for you. You could not be any cuter or sweeter and our days are so full of joy because of you. We love you so much little girl!
