Schulze Life: Ellie ~ 8 months!

Happy 8 months, Ellie bug!!

I say this EVERY month but I cannot believe you are another month older!! Unreal. Our days are infinitely sweeter because you are a part of them, sweet girl. Daddy, Libby and I are so thankful for you. You are such a joy, still so laid back, and becoming more and more of a little person each day. You are becoming so much more animated with lots of funny faces and babbling. You are reaching for EVERYTHING - mainly remotes, phones, hair, faces and toys. And you are not too pleased if we take something away from you. You've started waiving bye bye which seriously melts my heart. And you're also trying to clap - so cute. You want to be on the move so badly (as seen in some of your 8 month photos) and you're getting up on all fours and trying so hard to crawl but you're not quite there yet. But if there is a toy out of your reach you are determined to get it and you can usually find a way to scoot your way over there. Oh and if you're sitting up and want to get on your belly you just kind of tip yourself over and do the most hilarious little belly flop...very graceful :) You love to be outside, take baths, suck your thumb, read books (you actually pay attention!), watch your sister do anything and everything, be thrown in the air by your daddy (already not scared! just like your sister), cuddle, and eat :) And speaking of your sister - you are her favorite person on earth. Every morning when I get her out of bed her first question is "Where's Ellie?" and if I say you're still sleeping she says "Mommy, let's go wake up our sweetie girl!" I tear up just thinking about it because it is the absolute sweetest. She loves to take care of you, talk to you, hug you, kiss you, burp you, tell me what you're doing, bring you toys, and teach you about everything - and you smile the biggest, widest smiles and give the biggest, best giggles to her. I pray that you two will always be best friends. It's such a gift to be y'alls mama.

-wearing 6-9 month clothes
-size 3 diapers
-sleeping 8:15pm-8:30am
-naps from 10-noon and 2:30-4:30 if we are home...may take a quick cat nap in the evening if needed
-switched to formula this month. This was a hard transition for mommy but you weren't phased by it at all. You have a bottle at 8:30, cereal/fruit at 9:30, bottle at 12:30 & 4:30, veggie/fruit at 6pm, bottle at 8pm.
-you down your baby food like a champ! I've just started giving you some avocado and banana bits. If you'd go ahead and get some teeth we may be able to do a little more :)
-zero teeth
-you were baptized with your sister on February 15th! Such a special and joyful day for Daddy and me as we committed to teaching you about the love and grace of Jesus and ask that God would capture your heart to know and love Him from an early age. Praying this over you daily, sweet one. It's what you were created for. It's where life is found. He is our rock, our hope.
